Terms of Use

1. These terms and the service

These Terms of Use set out the conditions for using Orimiora, provided by opazein (the operator). Orimiora is an app for recording photos, acquisition details, and histories of mineral, gem, and other specimens, and for viewing, sharing, and printing those records. You agree to these terms when using the app. If you are a minor, obtain the consent of your legal representative where required.

Apple's standard End User License Agreement applies to the license for the app obtained from the App Store. These terms govern use of Orimiora's service.

2. Records and storage

Rights in photos, text, and other submitted content belong to you or the original rights holder. Use content for which you have the necessary rights to record and share. The operator does not acquire rights to repurpose your content for advertising or promotion.

Records are stored on your device. You set an external destination on first use, and backups are created after changes. Saving depends on connectivity, available storage, OS execution time, and the destination service. Check the last save status under Record storage in Settings. Storage only in the app's dedicated area or on the device may not adequately protect against app deletion or device failure. We recommend a destination independent of the app, such as iCloud Drive.

Backups include original photos, documents, and private records. Carefully manage access to destinations and files. Past backups may not be deleted automatically when you delete a specimen in the app.

3. Catalog and map information

Catalog names, descriptions, properties, localities, and maps are reference information. They may differ from actual specimens due to source editions, composition, and individual variation. They do not guarantee identification, authenticity, quality or price assessments, or the safety of mining or visiting a place. Map points represent cities or prefectures, not exact mining sites, stores, or homes.

4. Sharing and external services

Review the shared content and complete the operation in the OS share sheet or destination app. Public images and videos exclude purchase price and home; purchase-store inclusion follows your sharing settings. Personal information you put in photos, specimen names, origins, or other input cannot be automatically recognized.

Apple Maps, file destinations, social networks, printers, and external websites are subject to their providers' terms. Changes to or interruptions of external services may make some features unavailable.

5. Advertising

The app may show information explicitly labeled Advertisement or similar. The operator reviews advertisers and displayed content. Contracts for advertised products or services are between you and the provider. Inclusion does not guarantee quality or performance of a transaction. Information handling is also described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Prohibited activities

Illegal activities, infringement of others' rights, unauthorized access, and interference with the app or service are prohibited.

Unless permitted by law or an applicable third-party license, unauthorized copying, redistribution, sale, decompilation, disassembly, or other reverse engineering of the app is prohibited. This restriction does not limit rights granted by the respective licenses for open-source software or public data.

7. App and third-party rights

Rights in the app's original code, design, and other materials belong to the operator or their rightful owners. Third-party data and assets have their own terms. View sources and terms under Licenses and credits and References in Settings.

8. Provision, changes, and responsibility

The operator works to provide proper operation, but does not guarantee operation on every device, storage destination, or sharing destination, completeness of information, or perpetual availability. Features may change, or provision may be suspended or ended, for maintenance, failures, or OS or external-service changes. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or support where practicable.

Liability for loss caused by reasons attributable to the operator is governed by Japan's Civil Code, Consumer Contract Act, and other applicable laws. These terms do not exclude or limit user rights or operator responsibilities provided by law.

9. Changes to terms and ending use

A new version of these terms will be presented in the app when they change. Agreement to revised terms is required to continue using the app. You may stop using the app if you do not agree. Existing records will not be deleted solely because you decline the terms. The operator cannot restore on your behalf device records that the operator does not hold.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Japanese law, without limiting protections under mandatory laws applicable to you.
